Alicia van de Bor

Visual Artist

Alicia has a passion to teach high school students. Her lessons encourage students to study the concepts and techniques of art. They learn color, shape and composition through mixed medias. Her program includes activities and themes that promote Creating, Presenting, Responding, and Connecting.

She is a California State University Sacramento student pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art with a minor in Art Education. As a professional artist, she has exhibited her work throughout Northern California, including the Marin Museum of Contemporary Art and Mill Valley O’Hanlon Gallery.

Mrs. van de Bor’s lessons will teach students to manipulate the elements of art and principles of design to create artwork that is a form of visual communication. Students will develop their visual vocabulary while exploring art history and diverse cultures.

Look for her "Passport to the Arts" sessions to include works from Ghana, Mexico, China, and Peru just to name a few.
